About Us / Why Us?
For more than 38 years Schuch-Landmark has been among the top engine machining and rebuilding shops serving southern and central Wisconsin. Working on motors for all applications ( agricultural, construction and commercial transport ), they have found cost-effective and long term solutions to restore worn or damaged motors and returned them back to service.
Over the past thirteen years Schuch-Landmark has taken on new roles and challenges with the introductions of the consumer auto care (car, van and light truck repair) and commercial fleet management and service business. As before the same care and attention to detail was fostered in each new area. The company still overhauls engines today and does custom machining work.. They also machine OEM updates for dealers (original equipment manufactures) throughout the state on after sales repairs. The role of the engine machine shop is also changing with the increased interest by today’s urban/suburban collector of old farm tractors, classic speed boats and antique cars. Not only does the motors get refurbished but everything else is being restored as if it just came of the assembly line
The consumer auto and truck repair side has added yet another dimension of service based on the high expectation of today’s consumers. By utilizing the latest diagnostic tools and outside troubleshooting resources, employing individuals with solid technical experience and demonstrated skills and showing a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction, Schuch-Landmark has become one of the leading Sun Prairie garages. The goal at Schuch-Landmark is to delivery quality service at an affordable price and be a resource to its customers.
The fleet manage, repair and service business requires the highest level of company commitment because of the need for quick reaction to breakdowns. Accurate diagnosing of the problem and fast turn around are essential to getting the working vehicle back on the road as soon as possible. Most commercial fleets don’t have extra vehicles that they switch to or in some instant the equipment broke down is specialized. Not only does the problem need to be identified correctly but the right replacement part needs to located quickly and at the best price. Today’s fleets used a variety of fuels to power their equipment from gas, diesel to liquid propane. This requires that anyone who services these vehicles must remain on the front edge of change.
